My current makes..
On my knitting needles today is this:
Another sock.
On my crochet hook is this:
But in a grey scale sheep's wool that I picked up from the chazza shop at £1.50 a ball.
I'll post a pic when it's finished.
And my next project planned is this:
I have a set like this that my darling mum made 20+ years ago for my first ever classroom but I fancy making a set or two to help use up some of my DK stash.
What are you currently making?
A virus shawl in a pink & purple sparkly yarn, I'm also turning a bag full of solid colour squares into a blanket for hubby by edging them in a dark grey & then sewing them together.
ReplyDeleteYour sock wool is sooooo nice. I must get around to attempting to make a second pair myself. My mum has knitted many of those nativity scenes for people over the years. They do seem very popular. I've just finished knitting fried eggs, sausage, pizza, peas and carrots! My two year old daughter has just started play cooking. X
ReplyDeleteThe best comment I've seen on a blog so far lol knitted fried eggs!!
DeleteA little cardigan for a new born!

Um, layette for newborn!
ReplyDeleteA poncho crocheted in lovely purple flecked yarn. I think it's the first item of clothing I've ever actually made for myself.
ReplyDeleteI really need to learn to knit and crochet. You are so industrious!
ReplyDeleteI have a thing at the moment about Road Trip scarves and I've designed a V stitch one. I love the C2C and have made a tunic and a blanket too. Love the stitch, best one ever invented. Love your sock. Did I see your comment about being on the Winwick Mum's site? I met her in Black Sheep Wools a few months ago, we seemed to recognise each other from Blogland!
ReplyDeleteYes! I'm on the sock-a-long journey!!
DeleteWell a few years ago I actually made 2 socks, then unpicked the toes and made them shorter to fit. I have knitted another one and am just on the way to turn the blessed heel but just can't get motivated. I did start one with the Sock-a-long but I'm afraid the Road Trip scarves took over and I seem to be making everybody one.
DeleteI'm currently making twiddle lap blankets for our hospital to give to their dementia patients and twiddle muffs

Forgot to say I love the colours in your sock and looking forward to seeing your shawl.

I am halfway through a hoodie for my grandson, then my husband wants an aran jumper for his birthday in October.
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to knit one off those nativitys for years. Maybe this will be the year!
I can't wait to see your shawl when it's finished.
