When one door closes...
Alexander Graham Bell said, “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
Nothing serious, just something that makes you a bit sad and a little longing, then you put your big girl pants on and get over it.
Sometimes the things around us can suck us down into what feels as if there is no point continuing to try, to strive.
At times we might think - well, there's no point: at my age; without that friend; on a small budget; while the weather is so miserable; because nobody cares about me.
And as long as those feelings wash away down the drain when you wash you hair, or put on a bit of perfume, or dry the dishes, or have a cuppa - then that's just life and we get on with the next challenge.
But if the feelings persist, please - from someone who has genuinely been as low as you can go - tell someone.
However, if it's just a moochy minute, then mooch.
Because that's ok too.
