Curry night!

You've got to love Approved Food. (*not a sponsored post! my own opinion*)
Well, we do as a family anyways!

If you've not tried it out yet, go and have a look.
A site where food past it's shelf sell-by date but still within it's use-by dates.

Tonight we had a veritable banquet of curries; a thali, if you will.
All veggy and all in microwaveable pouches.
Perfect for a busy household.
I added quorn fillets to a korma base, opened Sag Aloo, curried black lentils and chick pea massana and served everything in bowls for a help-yourself easy-on-mum dinner.
The cost to feed four hungry adults was under £4, and there's leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Well worth a visit to their website, even just for a look.

Where do you buy your foodie bargains?

  3. To be honest m'dear not really shopped for foodie bargains, guess I'm a bit Yorkshireish in that 'Ah eat what Ah like and Ah like what Ah bloody well eat, having said that though I guess I ought to consider saving this way as well, bugger.

  5. I like Aldi, as it is my closest store, and ASDA on the same site but I'd prefer Lidl as an alternative. I buy some things from ASDA that I can't get from Aldi. Lidl is across the other side of town and that would not be a sensible project to drive a few miles out of my way to save a bit. If I'm in the vicinity I pop in for bargains sometimes.
