Oh the weather outside is frightful ..

 But the fire is so delightful...

We don't have a fire but we do have a fireplace. There is a mantelpiece above which we have a large mirror.

As I write this, we have the lights dimmed in the room and some electric fairy lights where the fire would be.

It is so cosy and perfect.

We don't spend a lot on decorations.  As the wee house we inhabit is so small, instead of a Christmas tree we have a Christmas twig.

This twig came down a few weeks ago in the last storm.  We salvaged it and dried it out well before tying it up to be our decoration base.

The stained glass piece you can see is made from pre-owned vintage glass and is one of the items I made when learning this craft.  I adore it.

Man Wonderful chose the colour scheme this year of white and silver.

Our little room is sparkly, quiet and safe - just what we need this time of this year.
