You Are What You Eat!
I've always said that if you are what you eat, then I'm an over-stuffed vegetarian tart!
We both love delicious food, and are happy to make dishes with the cheapest ingredients - as long as they are tasty and nutritious.
And tonight's Tagine is another winner.
To feed four hungry folk you will need:
1 bag Quorn pieces (these look like cubed chicken, but are veggy)
1 onion, peeled and sliced
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 finger-length ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
300ml veg stock
1 tin chick peas, with water kept
2 handfuls of fresh spinach
Put everything into the slow cooker.
Cook on low for eight hours.
Simple!

Just the sort of meal that I love, maximum flavour for minimum effort. I would be lost without my slow cooker.

ReplyDeleteSounds delish and definitely something I'd happily eat on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, If I was what I ate I'd be a fruity trifle!! Wobbly like jelly, rather sweet and a bit thick like the cream!
