Catching my tail
Apologies for my absence - it's been four-legged-fun here since my last post.
Anyway, this is what I've been up to:
. Planning meals for June.
. Shopping online using the Trolley app to make sure I get the cheapest prices for only what's on my list.
. Taking some days off of everything this week - blissful holiday days at home, costing nothing at all.
. Reading: I can recommend The Librarian by Salley Vickers and Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus; but I cannot recommend at all Still Life by Sarah Winman - sorry!
. Sewing. I lost my original denim jacket, adorned with some own-hand embroidery and I was waiting to find another second-hand jacket ( which I did ) to start embroidering ( which I have ).
. Knitting. I have a wee commission this month for a hand knitted patio blanket. It's in soft, chunky, baby wool so shouldn't take me too long.
So that's me all caught up.
What have you been up to? What have I missed?

Puppy looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHe really is - but I'm a bit biased!! X
DeleteI've been getting very stressed by my terminally ill mother and my husband's father, who has a degenerative condition, both being in hospital 160 miles apart, resulting in 2 care home places having to be found at the same time. Not fun! We now have 2 lots of funding to sort out, two lots of numerous organisations to contact, two houses to clear and two sales to arrange. For a couple who are full-time carers and who like to live a quiet life this is all a BIG headache.
ReplyDeleteOh golly, you really have your hands full right now! It must seem like you don't have five minutes to yourselves..
DeleteIf it helps at all, finding the smallest of breathing spaces for yourselves can really help: stop off for ten minutes just to read the paper or look at a view on your way to visiting. Those minutes won't make a difference to anyone but you - and can mean a lower anxiety level or a smaller headache. Xxx
