It's only a bargain...
I've recently discovered the delights (while helping a friend declutter) the delights of Shpock, Freecycle and Gumtree!
For those not in the know, these three are all on t'internet. Freecycle is for giving things to other people, whereas Shpock and Gumtree can be for getting a few pounds for your unwanted bits and bobs.
And they are a boon to those with a small budget, as well as folk wanting rid of clutter.
I have recently seen rehomed:
. Matching under-counter fridge and freezer
. Table and four chairs
. Double bed
. Washing machine
. Pictures in frames
. Curtains and bedding
. Kitchenalia
. Several beautiful lamps
As a seller/declutterer, the space and few pounds created is brilliant - but equally great to the people needing something but not having a budget for new.
And if you are in need, it is well worth a look around your area.
But remember, it's only a bargain if you need it, you can afford it, and it's cheaper than buying it elsewhere. If you have to factor in the petrol costs to drive to Timbuktu and back again, that IKEA picture frame for £2 might not be such a bargain after all...

Helpful info, thanks.

You're right...Perhaps the answer lies in not letting "bargains" sway us from needs to wants and recognizing the difference. Have a good weekend.
